10th Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival

The film A taste of life was selected to participate in the 10th Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival, where it was screened on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Cultural Center of Sparta. This screening marked a particularly significant milestone for the initiative and the team behind the film’s production. The overwhelmingly positive reception further amplified the importance of our mission: to place people at the heart of all our actions and to highlight the stories that matter to them.

The 10th Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival, held from November 22 to December 1, 2024, showcased a rich program of feature-length and short documentaries, with many making their Greek premiere. Beyond the screenings, the festival featured a series of engaging parallel events, including workshops, masterclasses, and exhibitions, enriching the experience for participants and audiences alike.

This year’s festival centered around the city of Kalamata while extending to 12 other cities across the Peloponnese, creating a network of cultural events in various regions. The participating cities included Patras, Tripoli, Amaliada, Sparta, Gytheio, Nafplio, Monemvasia, Leonidio, Xylokastro, Akrata, Dimitsana, and Stymphalia. This multifaceted approach highlighted the festival’s role as an institution bringing the art of documentary film-making closer to the public while preserving and celebrating the local cultural identity.

13th Athens International Digital Film Festival

On Friday, December 13, 2024, A taste of life film was displayed at the historic Studio New Star Art Cinema in Athens as part of the 13th Athens International Digital Film Festival (AIDFF). The festival, held from December 12-18, 2024, celebrated groundbreaking films, and at the closing ceremony, A taste of life won 1st Prize in the International Competition for Feature Documentaries.

The AIDFF, dedicated to the promotion of digital cinema, has been a pioneer of the New Cinema movement. It is the only festival in Greece and one of the few in Europe that embraces all forms of cinematic art. With a diverse lineup featuring fiction, documentaries, experimental animation, video art, video dance, and student films created with innovative digital media, AIDFF continues to inspire both emerging filmmakers and audiences alike, sparking conversations about the future of cinema and the arts.
